22nd UEG Congress in Prague – signature of the contract for the EC aerobic 2009
On the occasion of the joint meeting of the UEG authority members, the president Dimitrios Dimitropoulos expressed his gratitude to the president of the Czech Gymnastics Federation, Jiri Kubicka and the members of the organising committee Prague. This was also the occasion to sign the contract between UEG and the Czech Gymnastics Federation for the organisation of the Aerobics European Championships which will take place in 2009 in the city of Liberec.

From Tuesday to Friday, the President’s Board, the executive committee, the technical committees and the Control Authority had their respective meetings.On Thursday evening all UEG authorities met for a short meeting, as we traditionally do.
This meeting allowed the UEG president to thank the organisers of the congress, the president of the Czech Gymnastics Federation, Jiri Kubicka, and his close collaborators, Mrs Maria Kalasova, Sotirula Landysova, Mr. Roman Slavik and to offer them a Longines watch as present.
In front of the all the authorities - and this for the first time - UEG and the Czech Federation proceeded to the official signature of the contract for the organisation of the 6th European Aerobics Championships which will take place in 2009 in Liberec/CZE. Finally, the president Dimitrios Dimitropoulos addressed to the 70 members of the UEG authorities : « in the name of the presidents’ Board and in my personal name, I wish to express you my gratitude for all the work accomplished during this year, whether it was during the different European championships, or any other UEG events I wish you all to stay in good health, to keep your motivation which will allow you to pursue your commitment and to work for the good of European gymnastics for the coming years ». After this quite emotional speech, the members of the UEG authorities shared a drink.
