8th TeamGym ECh in Malmö: definitive registrations

The 8th edition of the TeamGym European Championship will take place October 19th - 24th, 2010 in Malmö (Sweden). 12 national federations have confirmed their participation with a total of 41 teams. For the first time, this Championship is open to the Juniors.
9 NF with 16 teams will participate.

Two innovations have been introduced after the decision of the UEG Executive Committee to grant the status of European Championship to the TeamGym competition: a junior championship will be introduced and from now on the teams must be inscribed by the national federations NF (not by the clubs anymore).

  

Federations inscribed in senior category: AUT-CZE-DEN-EST-FIN-FRA-GBR-GER-ISL-NOR-POR-SWE

Federations inscribed in junior category: CZE-DEN-ESP-EST-FIN-GBR-ISL-NOR-SWE  

Participation:

Each federation may enter up to two teams per section, in the junior’s category only 1 team per section.

A team consists of 6 - 12 male / female gymnasts. In all disciplines, all performing gymnasts are judged. A mixed team must consist to 50% of male and to 50% of female gymnasts.   


Disciplines and categories:

Each team must perform 3 disciplines: floor programme / tumbling /  trampet.

There are three sections: men, women and mixedA gymnast may only compete for one team.  


Age:

Seniors: the minimum age is 16 years (born in 1994 or before)

Juniors: minimum age 13 years, maximum age 17 years (born between 1993 - 1997)
